Our goal is to create a Pioneer Park on the grounds of the historic Lonesome cabin in Burns, Tennessee. Built in 1821 by William Austin, this cabin is the oldest dwelling in South Dickson County as well as the town Burns. Lonesome Pioneer Park will preserve the cabin and other pioneer treasures for generations to come. Please join us in the preservation of this historic place by donating to our non-profit organization, Friends of Lonesome Historic Site.

Explore the history of Dickson County and the cabin we call Lonesome. Read more...
